We got invited to shoot the First Annual Orlando Chili Cookoff event in Baldwin Park, Orlando on Saturday and man what an event it was! Headed up by Ken Roberts from Events for Change, Inc, the cook off was an event where all proceeds went to benefit the Special Olympics of Florida. Never really being to a Chili cook off event myself, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. What I found out was that people take their chili cooking seriously! The Baldwin Park area is not a small area and this place was packed with vendors competing to be crowned the winner. On top of all the vendors, the lines to get into the event lasted all day. I did not see any slow down in the amount of people wanting to get into the event. Last I heard, was over $15,000 (unofficially) raised for the Special Olympics of Florida which for a first time event is just outstanding. Congrats goes out to the whole crew that made this possible.
